(IOWA CITY IA) Terrence Neuzil, member of
the Johnson County Board of Supervisors, will hold his weekly
“Government and You” Listening Posts in July. The listening
posts provide residents an opportunity to discuss local, state
and national government issues in an informal setting. Each
month during the listening posts, citizens also can learn and
discuss a hot and emerging issue that Johnson County is facing.
In July, the Hot Topics Discussion
will be on the Johnson County Community Health Needs Assessment.
Recently, the 100 page Public Health Department report showed
that Johnson County is younger, more prosperous, more educated,
with smaller families, healthier behaviors, lower death rates
and more health-related services than in other parts of the
state and nation. Residents who want to learn more about the
report are encouraged to attend; the report can also be viewed
at
johnson-county.com.
