Terrence Neuzil is currently completing his 11th year and third-term as a member of the Johnson County Board of Supervisors. He is a life-long resident of Iowa City, a graduate of the University of Iowa; receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a double major in Political Science and History. He is also a graduate of the County Leadership Institute from New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School. Supervisor Neuzil, 41, is a former news anchor, business manager, public service director and farm director at KCJJ Radio in Iowa City, a former Assistant to Iowa Legislators Robert Dvorsky and Dick Myers and is also a former employee of the Iowa Democratic Party.

As the youngest Supervisor ever elected in Johnson County history, Supervisor Neuzil has been instrumental in the development of the County's first Strategic Plan, County Campus Plan, Trails Plan, Mental Health Jail Diversion Program, Human Rights Ordinance, the County's first Economic Development Plan and the development of the County Green Team. He is also the co-creator of the Johnson-Linn County Leadership Summit which brought together government officials to join forces and work on projects within the Corridor including the vision for a separated bicycle and pedestrian trail from Iowa City to Cedar Rapids.

He is currently the Public Information Officer for Johnson County Emergency Management / Homeland Security and is a member of the National Association of Counties Information Officers Association. He also serves on the 6th Judicial District Department of Corrections Executive Council, the County Rate Information System Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Funding Policy Board of Directors, the Iowa City Coralville Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors and the Workplace Learning Connection Advisory Council.

Neuzil is a former member of the National Association of Counties Environment, Energy and Land Use Steering Committee, the Iowa State Association of Counties Public Safety Committee, and was appointed by Governor Culver to serve on the Iowa Access Technology Advisory Council and the Rebuild Iowa Coordinating Council. In 2010 and early 2011, Supervisor Neuzil served as chair of the Education Subcommittee for the Johnson County United Way 2020 Visionary Community Needs Assessment.

Supervisor Neuzil is also well known for holding his Government and You Listening Posts and has held over 500 community meetings since being elected. In 2005, he received the distinguished Corridor Business Journal's 40 Under 40 Young Leadership Award in its inaugural year, in 2010 he received the State of Iowa Governor's Volunteer Award and in 2011, he received the Johnson County United Way's Community Volunteer of the Year.
